Star Wars Concert

A Galaxy Far, Far Away Comes to Tucson and Other Cities Near You

For fans looking for a new way to experience George Lucas' galaxy, the Star Wars Concert is an opportunity for an all new, once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be missed.

George Lucas, Lucasfilm Ltd. and John Williams, composer of the Star Wars film scores, worked together to create a singular overview of the entire Star Wars saga.

Star Wars: In Concert is on a worldwide tour including Europe, Australia and the United States.

The concert came to the Tucson Arena on May 26, 2010 for its second visit to Arizona.

This unique, 2-hour presentation allowed the audience to witness the sights and sounds of Star Wars like never before:

  • Specially arranged selections of John Williams' music was brought to life by a live symphony orchestra and chorus.
  • A three story tall, high definition LED screen showed specifically edited and arranged scenes from all six Star Wars films that combines the on-screen action with the films' major musical themes.
  • Actor Anthony Daniels, who played C3PO, was the narrator who introduced each part of the show.
  • Laser lights and other special concert lights added color and mood to the presentation.

If that extravaganza isn't enough of a draw, the Star Wars Concert also includes a one-of-a-kind exhibit.

You'll see models, illustrations, storyboards and costumes from all six Star Wars films including Yoda, C3PO, Darth Vader and Han Solo in carbon freeze.

Some of the items have never been displayed before. For Star Wars fans, the opportunity to see these original movie props is worth the price of admission alone.

The show is at 7:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $23 to $73.

Tucson Arena is located in downtown Tucson at 260 S Church Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85701.
