Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall

Conveniently set just north of downtown Scottsdale at Camelback Road, this Scottsdale mall covers more than 18-million square feet and makes a great shopping destination no matter what the weather.

You can’t miss its huge, three-story, enclosed atrium-like space as you drive up busy Scottsdale Road.

With over 225 stores, 7 specialty food selections, 9 restaurants, a food court and a seven-screen cinema, you could literally spend the entire day here.

Originally two separate shopping properties, the malls were connected, renovated and expanded.

It took over 20 years for Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall to become the giant shopping mecca that it is today. Scottsdale Fashion Square is owned by Westcor, a major Arizona mall developer.

Large anchor stores such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Neiman-Marcus, and Barney's New York are mixed with retailers like Ann Taylor, J. Crew, Aveda, Crate and Barrel and Abercrombie and Fitch.

It is also home to over 40 exclusive retailers, including Gucci, kate spade, Fossil, Dana Buchman, MaxMara, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Sephora and Tiffany & Co., which are not found anywhere else in Arizona.

While the focus is on luxury, there are also stores for budget-minded shoppers such as the popular H & M for clothing and Hallmark for cards.

If you have little ones, you’ll be glad to know that there are several entertainment options for children.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop lets kids create their own personal stuffed animal friend at this unique store.

The children's play area gives parents a place to sit down and watch their kids have fun.

For a longer break from shopping, you can see a new movie at the Harkins Theatres Fashion Square 7, located at the end of the food court.

Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall may be upscale, but the food court, known as the Palm Court, serves standard mall food.

We think Paradise Bakery is your best bet at the food court for its fresh salads, soups and sandwiches.

Starbucks and the Nordstrom Café are both good places to sit down and take a break.

If you want a traditional restaurant experience, you don't have to leave the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall.

Yard House serves American fusion cuisine and they claim to have the world's largest selection of draft beer.

Or try Modern Steak, one of Arizona restaurateur Sam Fox’s ventures, for steak, seafood, twelve different sides, and patio dining. For a quick bite to eat, walk up to their Modern Burger window, open daily 12 -4 pm, for burgers, sandwiches, salads and ice cream sandwiches to go.

Sushi and a wide variety of Pacific-influenced items are on the menu at Kona Grill. All three of these restaurants have a busy bar scene.

At the east side of the mall, try Marcella's Italian Cuisine for its pizza, pasta and extensive wine list.

The Grand Lux Café has a vaguely Egyptian style exterior and serves dishes from around the world. It's worth a look into the restaurant’s windows just to see the opulent, Las Vegas style interior of this expansive restaurant.

Their helpful and friendly staff will answer all your questions, get you up-to-date on all the current sales and promotions for every store at the mall, and point you in the right direction as it’s easy to get turned around in here.

The staff can also help with restaurant reservations, package carry-out assistance, wheelchair and stroller rental, and resort, hotel and travel information.

The Concierge Desk is located in the Palm Court on the lower level.

Another plus for shoppers is the ample free parking on both the northeast and southeast sides of the mall.

On hot desert summer days, you’ll be grateful that most of it is covered, making leaving the air-conditioned store a little easier.

There’s also valet parking.
