Their first workout is on February 20. Position players report on February 22 for physicals and have their first full squad workout on February 23. The first San Diego Padres spring training schedule game is on Sunday, March 4, 2012 against the Seattle Mariners at their Peoria Stadium home field. This game is their annual charity game. In addition to playing the 2012 spring training games, the Padres will also play exhibition games against the Kansas City Royals, one at PETCO Park and the other at Lake Elsinore, home of the Padres' Single-A California League affiliate.
