Payson Arizona Lodging
Payson is a small town, so the type of Payson Arizona hotels and the number of rooms is limited. Summer weekends are the busiest time, so make your reservations well in advance if you're traveling during this time. Rooms also fill up quickly during rodeo week, held yearly in mid-August. Room rates are highest on summer weekends. If you can, stay early in the week when a room that's $105 on a Saturday drops to $60 on a Monday.
This Payson Arizona lodging is the largest in town with 2 floors and 99 rooms. The layout of the hotel is in the shape of a large U with the open end facing the Beeline Highway. Most of the rooms are set back from the road. The large center area has a lawn, pine trees and a pool. We stayed in a traditional room that was small, but clean and simple. Luckily, it was on the second floor and furthest from the road so we enjoyed a quiet night's sleep. Our balcony overlooked the lawn and we liked having the fragrant pine trees close by. The Best Western has several package deals available including the Paw Print Package for travelers with pets. Both Gerardo's Italian Bistro and Fireside Espresso are right across street and we had good meals at both. This is a convenient place to stay plus it's one of the pet friendly Payson Arizona hotels. Amenities: Smoking and nonsmoking rooms, free internet access, all rooms have a patio or balcony, free continental breakfast, in-room coffeemaker, meeting facilities for up to 200 people. Note: swimming pool and hot tub close during the winter season.
Paysonglo is an older, family-owned Payson Arizona lodging. It has 45 rooms including deluxe rooms, fireplace rooms, poolside rooms and suites. Standard rooms are in older, 1-story buildings while deluxe rooms are in newer 2-story buildings. The rooms are simply furnished and have a small refrigerator and coffeemaker. King suites feature 32" LCD HDTVs. This is the closest of the Payson Arizona hotels to the Mazatzal Casino. Amenities: Smoking and nonsmoking rooms, free internet access in lobby, free breakfast bar, business center, free shuttle to Mazatzal Casino. Note: fireplace rooms are available in the winter only.
With 44 rooms and 3 floors, this is the only hotel in Payson Arizona with an elevator. It's in the center of town and close to restaurants and the Main Street shops. Last renovated in 2001, the hotel is clean but could use some updating. Rooms are similar to other Holiday Inn Expresses and come with a coffeemaker, microwave oven, free high speed internet access and the complimentary breakfast bar in the morning. Hotel amenities include on-site guest laundry facilities and two rooms with handicap accessibility. Amenities: Small indoor heated pool and whirlpool, smoke-free hotel, interior hallways. Note: there is no RV or trailer parking.
Majestic Mountain Inn, Payson,AZ Located on Highway 260, just east of Highway 87, this older, 2-story Payson Arizona lodging has 50 rooms. There are several room types: standard, deluxe and luxury. The Inn's courtyard rooms have patios that face a large green lawn and pine trees. The luxury rooms have an in-room, two-person Jacuzzi bath and a gas fireplace. Majestic Mountain is also conveniently next door to Fargo's Steakhouse. Amenities: Free internet access, free continental breakfast, coffeemaker, microwave oven, refrigerator, outdoor pool, conference center, smoke-free hotel.
