Charity Event Features Music From Around the World
About the McDowell Music Festival
At the McDowell Music Festival, variety is the spice of life. For music fans, this popular outdoor music festival offers a wide variety of music styles including classic rock, reggae and blues from international and national acts and local bands too. For 2010, the McDowell Mountain Music Festival has a new location and they have added a third day of music. The McDowell Music Festival 2010 will be held at the Northeast corner of 68th Street and Mayo Boulevard next to The Compound Grill. The McDowell Mountain Music Festival had been held at the large WestWorld equestrian facility in Scottsdale. However, due to economic concerns, the festival has been moved in order to reduce costs. One hundred percent of the profit from the McDowell Music Festival goes to charity. Beneficiaries for 2010 include Phoenix Day Family & Learning Center and Ear Candy, a non-profit organization that promotes music education for children. | | The McDowell Music Festival has acts that range from reggae to rock | The location may have changed, but the festival has retained it's interesting features including a silent auction/raffle, marketplace and Kid's Zone. The acoustic stage and drum circle will be inside The Compound Grill.
