Find the Perfect Arizona Resort

From Sedona to Tucson, you can find an Arizona resort to fit your style and, usually, your budget if you're flexible about when you go.

Many of them are among the top-rated resorts in the United States.

Almost without exception, every Arizona resort offers gorgeous pools, golf courses, spas, beautiful suites, and more amenities than we are ever able to get around to using.

The Santa Catalina Mountains tower over the pool at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf and Tennis Resort

So, how do you decide where to stay during your Arizona vacation?

We've stayed at a number of resorts in Arizona and we've written unbiased Arizona resort reviews from our own personal experiences.

Our reviews have lots of little details including:

  • specific tips for each resort,

  • notes on amenities, services, and extra fees,

  • links to our reviews of resort restaurants, spa services, and nearby attractions,

In our reviews, we give you honest opinions, our personal photos and lots of information to help you make your decision.

So check out the links below to start planning your resort vacation.

Phoenix Resorts

Arizona Biltmore Resort

Arizona Biltmore Resort

This historic Phoenix resort is known for its unique Frank Lloyd Wright design and its colorful, celebrity-filled past. A lovely setting, luxurious atmosphere and diverse amenities make this a favorite Arizona resort.

Point South Mountain Resort

Arizona Grand Resort

Searching for an Arizona kid-friendly vacation spot? Then the Arizona Grand Resort is the place for you. Kids will love the 6-acre water park. There's also golf, tennis and horseback riding. Even the spa has services for kids.

Wild Horse Pass Resort

Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa

Reminiscent of a Las Vegas style resort, Wild Horse Pass creates a unique atmosphere by blending nature and Native American culture. Two golf courses, a Native American-inspired spa, and lovely pools are all near a recreation of the Gila River.

Scottsdale Resorts

The Boulders Resort

The Boulders Resort

Located just north of Scottsdale, this sprawling resort is set amid magnificent, 12-million year old boulders. It is consistently ranked as one of the top U.S. resorts for its famous golf course, fine dining and Golden Door Spa.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch

Hidden in the middle of Scottsdale, Hyatt combines good service, ten pools and nightly entertainment into a top Arizona resort. The Hyatt's great blend of amenities and chic Spa Avania makes this one of our favorite spots.

Camelback Inn

Camelback Inn Resort & Spa

This historic Arizona resort was known for its old Southwest style, flower- and cactus-filled gardens, great spa and friendly service. However, change has come to the Inn with it's $45 million, 10-month renovation that included a new lodge, restaurants and room upgrades.

Talking Stick Resort

Talking Stick Resort

Set on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, the towering Talking Stick Resort brings a little Las Vegas style to the Arizona desert. This towering resort has a contemporary design, three pools, a casino, golf course and stunning mountain views.

Westin Kierland Resort

Westin Kierland Resort and Spa

Sophisticated yet casual, the Kierland has plenty of amenities – pools, spa, golf, fine dining - in a compact space. Its emphasis on Arizona history and kid friendly and pet friendly programs make it a well-rounded north Scottsdale resort.

Sedona Resorts

Amara Resort

Amara Resort and Spa

The Amara is a small boutique property in the heart of Uptown Sedona, located on the banks of Oak Creek. A convenient location, lovely setting, and "Zen meets Pottery Barn" atmosphere make it a sophisticated and romantic Sedona resort.

Enchantment Resort

Enchantment Resort And Mii Amo Spa

What makes Enchantment Resort so "enchanting" is its spectacular red rock surroundings. Surrounded by wilderness, Enchantment blends luxury amenities and the fantastic Mii amo Spa in a casual setting. Rates are high but worth it for those looking for a secluded getaway near town.

Hilton Sedona Resort

Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa

Conveniently located at the eastern end of Sedona, the Hilton sits at the edge of a playground of red rocks, shopping, golf and New Age activities. The all-suite rooms with kitchenettes and easy access to all of Sedona's attractions make it great for families and long term visitors.

Tucson Resorts

Hacienda del Sol Resort

Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

You'll get a glimpse of the old Southwest when you stay at this small, historic property nestled in the heart of the Santa Catalina foothills. Adobe buildings, a desert setting and Southwestern accents give it traditional charm.

Hilton El Conquistador Resort

Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort

You'll want to make sure to use the bell service at this popular but maze-like Tucson resort. This family-oriented property is great for tennis and golf enthusiasts too with three golf courses and pro tennis facilities.

Starr Pass Resort

JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa

Starr Pass is a huge resort and conference center complex that has every amenity in an elegant Southwestern atmosphere. Tucked up against the Tucson Mountains, it's a bit of a drive to get out there but the setting makes it worth the time.

Ventana Canyon Resort

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort

Built literally into the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains, this luxurious, pet-friendly Arizona resort brings the desert right outside your door. Guests come from all over the world just to play on its famous golf courses.

La Paloma Resort

Westin La Paloma Resort And Spa

The elegant Spanish Mission style La Paloma is a popular Arizona resort. Arizona vacationers enjoy its gourmet Southwestern restaurants owned by award-winning chef Janos Wilder and access to the private La Paloma Golf Course. Locals love its low summer rates and its pools.

Westward Look Resort

Westward Look Resort

Spread out but not built up, this Tucson resort is open, peaceful and has lovely city, mountain and desert views. We liked Westward Look's easy access in and out of town, good mix of amenities, friendly service and free parking right outside our room.
