So who are we? Just a happy couple with a love of travel and exploring new places. We’ve been together for 26 years and for much of that time, we’ve been traveling or living in Arizona. Though Paula currently works as a human resources representative for a large company, her background is in biology. She has worked as a field research assistant on several wildlife projects, at several Arizona cactus nurseries and as a hiking guide at a major Tucson resort. Her interests include gardening, wildlife watching, cooking and reading, especially mystery novels by Tony Hillerman, Nevada Barr, J.A. Jance and James Doss. Jeff works as a groundskeeper. Formerly, he was a zookeeper for 10 years and has worked at zoos in California and Arizona. He enjoys digital photography, gardening, hiking and anything Paula cooks. Like you, we have too much to do and too little time to do it in. With busy jobs and family responsibilities, we often found that we were scrambling to make our vacation plans at the last minute. After making our room reservation based on some glossy brochure, we couldn’t be certain it was what we were really looking for until we got there. Then, after arriving at our destination and with limited time, we weren’t sure what was worth taking the time to go see and do. 
Now after years spent in Arizona, we have it down pat. Thinking that others are probably facing the dilemma that we once had, we decided to create Arizona Vacation Planner.com. We want to help you cut through the marketing hype and glossy brochures to get the real info on vacationing in Arizona. By providing you with in-depth reviews, travel tips and suggestions on where to stay, where to eat and what to see, we hope to make your Arizona vacation planning as quick and easy as clicking the mouse.
